Project Manager
Essential Functions
- Responsible for controlling costs and maintaining profitability for the project(s), utilizing extensive heavy construction experience.
- Manage field construction activity, engineering, and other field project(s) support activities.
- Supervises the development of project(s) schedules and monitors production to assure timely project(s) completion.
- Reviews cost reports and makes analysis to assist in reducing costs and maintaining productivity.
- Establishes project(s) labor requirements and reviews these requirements with divisional management.
- Conducts regular project(s) inspections and advises project(s) supervision of work progress, quality of work and conditions requiring attention regarding safety.
- Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project(s) scope and specifications.
- Administers project(s) policies and procedures to subcontractors.
- Coordinates with engineers, inspectors, and clients/owner representatives to isolate project(s) projects and assists in developing solutions.
- Regularly conducts safety meetings and provide assistance to supervision in addressing areas and conditions requiring attention.
- Continually monitors project(s) to assure company and regulatory procedures are adhered to. Monitors project(s) purchasing activities to assure quality material and timely delivery at competitive costs.
- Conducts regular meetings with project(s) supervision to review project(s) progress and to plan future construction activity.
- Determines the necessity of construction equipment and assures equipment is properly maintained.

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline is preferred
Project Superintendent
Essential Functions
- Manage field construction activity, labor, workmanship, tools and materials to meet project(s) schedule and budget.
- Ensure all construction work is performed to the highest quality.
- Assist in preparation of estimates and budgets with detailed written scopes of work.
- Communicate with or manage communications with the Project Manager or customer.
- Attend or review attendance of others at project meetings.
- Communicate customer needs, changes and general thoughts to team members.
- Proactively contact or manage proactive contact with subcontractors and Project Manager to discuss project(s).
- Coordinate and obtain Subcontract Agreements, Work Orders, and Purchase Orders regarding project.
- Change Orders: Communicate with Project Managers if additional cost(s) is warranted due to change in scope of work and or owner or city request(s).
- Ensure costs exceeding budget are passed to owner via change order.
- Generate appropriate owner correspondence, scheduling conflicts, weather delays, etc.
- Assist in negotiation of all subcontracts including analysis of bids to ensure the subcontractor quote is complete; providing detailed written scope of work and pre-qualification of subcontractors as required.
- Assist in managing or review timing, quantities and condition of owner provided materials in relation to project schedule.
- Produce project schedule, coordinate tradesmen, initiate and support inspections, and monitor project progression with project managers to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
- Obtain or arrange all necessary permits and comply with all city and associated department requirements.
- Assist in supervising the activities of the project team to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and quality standards.
- Attend project Start and Closeout meetings.
- Review all invoices for accuracy and approve those associated with project in a timely manner.
- Review job cost report, at least monthly, to insure accuracy of costs in appropriate cost codes.
- Provide onsite inspections to ensure quality standards and safety practices are performed.
- Review and understand all plans and specifications to achieve the most cost-effective project as possible.
- Provide assistance to Project Manager(s) as necessary.
- Compile the Punch List. Complete or manage the completion of the Punch List to the customer’s satisfaction. Ensure the customer signs off on the Punch List at time of demobilization.Â
- Clean or manage the in process and final cleanliness of the project sites.
